    Danjiang Bridge
Danjiang Bridge is Taiwan’s first cable-stayed bridge and the world’s longest single-tower asymmetric cable-stayed bridge. Its design draws inspiration from the famed Tamsui sunset and the graceful movements of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre performers. With its elegant lines shaping the skyline at the mouth of the Tamsui River, the bridge has quickly become a new landmark in northern Taiwan. Visitors can not only admire its architectural beauty, but also gain insight into its design philosophy and cultural significance through guided interpretation.
  • 10:20-11:40
    Fuyou Temple (Tamsui Mazu Temple)
Fuyou Temple in Tamsui is a traditional Taoist temple with a classic architectural layout, including a front hall, stage, main hall, side corridors, and a rear hall. Goddess Mazu, the main deity, is enshrined in the center of the main hall, with Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva on her left and the Narcissus King on her right. The temple also houses several other deities, such as the Wenchang Emperor, the God of Taisui, and the God of Wealth. On both sides of the temple are bell and drum towers, along with shrines dedicated to figures like the City God, Guan Yu, the Earth God, the Tiger General, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and the Matchmaking God.

    Tamsui Old Street
Tamsui Old Street is more than a hub for local delicacies, it is a living corridor of Taiwan’s history spanning several centuries. Since the Qing dynasty, this bustling commercial street has been home to ferry docks, historic temples, and red-brick buildings. Together, they reflect Tamsui’s legacy as northern Taiwan’s most important port in earlier times. Visitors can stroll along its nostalgic streets, sample time-honored snacks, and browse locally inspired souvenirs. From the structure of heritage buildings to the shimmering riverside views, every corner exudes Tamsui’s signature blend of leisure and quiet charm.
