Transit Half-Day Tour — Tamsui | Launching Soon
To help travelers make the most of even a short layover, we are launching a brand-new Transit Half-Day Tour, offering a curated journey to two of northern Taiwan's most distinctive highlights: the internationally acclaimed Tamsui–Bali Bridge and the historic Tamsui Old Street.
Tamsui–Bali Bridge
Taiwan's first cable-stayed bridge and the world's longest single-tower asymmetric cable-stayed bridge. Its design draws inspiration from the famed Tamsui sunset and the graceful movements of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre performers. With its elegant lines shaping the skyline at the mouth of the Tamsui River, the bridge has quickly become a landmark of northern Taiwan. Visitors can admire its architectural beauty and gain insight into its design philosophy and cultural significance through guided interpretation.
Tamsui Old Street
More than a hub for local delicacies, Tamsui Old Street is a living corridor of history spanning several centuries. Since the Qing dynasty, this bustling commercial street has been home to ferry docks, historic temples, and red-brick buildings — together reflecting Tamsui's legacy as northern Taiwan's most important port. Visitors can stroll its nostalgic lanes, sample time-honored snacks, and browse locally inspired souvenirs. From heritage architecture to shimmering riverside views, every corner carries Tamsui's signature blend of leisure and quiet charm.
By combining cutting-edge engineering with rich cultural heritage, this half-day experience offers a seamless journey across past and present — an immersive introduction to Taiwan's unique aesthetic.
We warmly invite travelers from around the world to experience the harmony of old and new in Tamsui, and to create lasting memories of Taiwan, even within a brief stopover.
The Tamsui itinerary launches on May 15 — stay tuned!
